The last time that I scrapbooked was in 2009, I have done a lot of art journaling and making mini books. I have even learned how to do digital scrapbooking and I love both types. I cannot say that I did very much scrapbooking in 2009 because I only have four pages to show for it and that is all I have ever done. My one problem with scrapbooking is printing out the photos and that is why digital scrapbooking is good for me, but at the same time, I love working with paper. I have decided that I want to start scrapbooking again because working with paper is what I really love. Since I am in between homes right now, I am limited on space and supplies. I do however have a few things with me and I thought that I can learn how to scrapbook all over again.
For the past two years I have done "Journal your Christmas" but have never gotten past the first week. Why I find “Journal your Christmas” so hard is because I was never excited about Christmas growing up and even now I cannot say that I really care. I started this project in hopes of getting into the holiday spirit and starting new traditions, but still I gave up after the first week. This is one project that I really want to complete along with “project 365.” Therefore, I am going to try once more this year on both projects and cross my fingers that I will complete them both. I am hoping that by starting scrapbooking again it will help me stay motivated for these projects.
Digital scrapbooking is amazing and love it because it has expanded my skills in Photoshop. There is something about having all the supplies you need on your computer and not worrying about forgetting something at home. You can take digital scrapbooking on the go because as I said all the supplies you need is on your computer. I started a series earlier this year called “Digi Digi” and I would love to bring it back as a once a weekly feature.
I miss being crafty and I am really excited about bring it back to my daily life.
