For the past couple of months I have been dealing with a knee issue. The first month I was just complaining that my knee was bothering me, but then the pain got worse. A few days before Thanksgiving I called my doctor and ask what she thought and she told me to come because she did not want me flying until I got checked out. The doctor told me she "thought" that I had a Baker's Cyst and if it did not get better in a month I would need to come back in and see a specialist.
A month went by and my knee still wasn't any better and the pain was keeping me up at night. A few days before Christmas I went to see another doctor (a specialist) to get x-rays and see what my options were. Turns out that I do not have a Baker's Cyst--I have a Meniscus Tear. There is a whole list that the doctor gave me of things to try and if it still bothers me the next step would be surgery.
I am crossing my fingers for no surgery! As soon as I get back to San Francisco I will be going physical Therapy.
On Christmas morning my grandparents came over around 8am to drink mimosas and open presents. Once the presents were open, I changed my shoes and moved to the kitchen and started cooking. I spent Christmas eve baking cookies, cakes and bread. We had enough sweets to last use for a few days ;)
My family doesn't just celebrate Christmas, we also celebrate my cousin Bria's birthday.
I had a wonderful (low-key) Christmas with family.

It's that time again... I am off to AZ to spend time with my family for the holidays. As always, I am super excited to see everyone and get a few relaxing days in by the pool. ok, ok, I don't really hangout poolside because I don't like swimming, but I do like to have a few cocktails with my Uncle.
On this trip I am bringing knitting for at night when watching movies, drinking hot chocolate by the fire place and my computer for during the day. I have set a few new goals for the blog besides my December goals and I have been keeping a journal for all new blog ideas. I am getting a little excite for 2012 and I hope that it will bring joy and not sadness like 2011.
Leaving: San Francisco International Airport at 5:30pm headed to Az.
