I want to make this year the most creative, productive, fit, healthy and fun year. I want to work hard and play hard. My mind is filled with all kinds of ideas that I will share throughout this month, but frist I want to talk about my one little word.
Last year my word was focus, but within two months of 2012, I lost focus and never seem to find it again. I feel at some point last year I lost my way and became lazy. Don't get me wrong-- I had a FUN year, but creatively and productively I lost my way. With that said... I am letting go of 2012 and focusing on 2013.
I took Elise's I Choose class last month and it gave me a new look on goal setting, but not only that it opened my eyes to how I think everyday.
It was raining outside and in the city everything runs late when it is raining. I took a cab to work and when got to my works front door, I realized I did not have my work keys. I walked to get coffee and called my coworker to see what time she was coming to the office. Instead of staying at the cafe and I walked back to my office and hung out outside on the little balcony we have.
As I was sitting there in the cold, I decided to start reading the "I Choose" class. After about an hour it hit me... I can CHOOSE how my days goes or how I will react to things in my everyday life.
When I finally go into my office I sent this message to my boyfriend...
going forward I want to always choose the better of the two. Loving you fully without doubt. I choose us!"
At that moment the word Choose chose me.
From Elise down loadable quotes
I choose to laugh more
I choose to eat healthy
I choose to be more creative
I choose to let little things go
I choose not to be afraid of elevators
I choose to the higher road
I choose water over soda
I choose not to be sorry
I choose to love fully
I choose not to drink this year
I choose to be happy
I choose to document this year
I choose to be calm
If you are unfamiliar with the concept of one little word, this is a great post from Ali Edwards to read. I am taking part in Ali's One Little Word class this year.
