This trip I got to explore the city on my own and find my New York. I learned how to get around on the subway. I was a little freaked out about it, but it is super easy and I had a great app that helped me a lot.
It was Saturday morning when my friend Dave gave me a call to see what I was doing. All of our friends went away for the weekend. Not even an hour later I am getting into Dave's truck and I said "all I want is a cheeseburger and beer." Dave gave me a smile and said "for breakfast?" It was only 10:00am and I was thinking about cheeseburgers and beer. With no idea what the day held for us, we set out to find me a cheeseburger.
We drove over the Golden Gate Bridge and we just kept going. We drove north up the 1 and pulled over every-now-and-then to take it all in. I am not sure where we were in the above photo, but it was one of the most beautiful places. We sat up on this cliff and had a little picnic with beer and organic gold fish's.
Dave is one of my best friends and we share a lot of stuff with each other. I have not seen him since before I left for NYC. It was nice to spend the day with him catching up. We talked about life and the things that we would love to do. We talk about relationship and help each other get over some hard times and decisions. This road trip was special to me and very much needed.
It's that time again... I am off to AZ to spend time with my family for the holidays. As always, I am super excited to see everyone and get a few relaxing days in by the pool. ok, ok, I don't really hangout poolside because I don't like swimming, but I do like to have a few cocktails with my Uncle.
On this trip I am bringing knitting for at night when watching movies, drinking hot chocolate by the fire place and my computer for during the day. I have set a few new goals for the blog besides my December goals and I have been keeping a journal for all new blog ideas. I am getting a little excite for 2012 and I hope that it will bring joy and not sadness like 2011.
