I love journaling. I love taking a blank page and making it the holder of my thoughts. I am not the type to sit down and write page after page about my feelings, I just do not have it in me. I read this blog post yesterday and I realized I liked her way of journaling. I thought it would be cool to try it. She has no real rules when it comes to her journal and I like that. In her blog post, she breaks down journaling into many different levels and you can choose where you want to start. I got a new journal yesterday (see photo above) at lunch that was on sale, but I can already tell you that I do not like it :( I have always loved Moleskins and I knew I should have waited to buy a new one. I know that I am going to end up getting a new Moleskin and I will use this journal as my sewing journal.
♥You need a journal that you love because that will make you love journaling.
♥You need a good pen.
♥You need to set aside time everyday to journal.
♥You need to remember this is your journal and you can use it anyway, you like.
♥You MIGHT want a nice beverage.
♥You MIGHT want a good playlist.
This is my new journey into journaling and I super excited. I will still art journal every week and share my pages on my blog, but I also need a little more that art journaling does not give me.
Try this! If you like, moleskins and need a journal cover, then you should try this tutorial from Eileen Josephine blog.

I am very long winded so my journals always turn into doodles w/ essays attached. I love that you limit yourself. I need to learn some resistance in my wordage. =)

I am trying to get into journaling this year! I'm looking forward to seeing yours. Thanks for the link to chookooloonks. I love moleskins too! I made a little cover for one of mine, with a pen holder, and put a tutorial up on my blog if you want to check it out! http://www.eileenjosephine.com/2010/12/moleskine-cover-tutorial.html <3

Dude. My hubby & I were just talking about how good for the soul journalling is, yesterday. :) It's so therapeutic. I hope to do a *lot* more this year, too - thanks for the links, lovely!

I just started keeping a journal again this year after not doing for a couple of years. Not sure why I stopped. I think blogging and things like Twitter and Facebook have made me lazy. So far it's been a catch-all of thoughts, sketches, inspiration clippings, I'm enjoying it so far. Hope you will too. :)
