Summer 2014, AZ
Well Hello!
It has been 7 months since my last blog post. I had a great blog vacation, but am ready to get back into it (at least part time, for now). Here are a few things that Currently rock my world:
Mama-hood: I am happy to say that the hardest part of Mama-hood, for me, was the first night home. Now, I'm not saying that raising a child is easy, but I have never felt like I couldn't do the job. I absolutely love being a Mommy to Wolfgang. He is the sweetest little guy and it's so much fun (when he's napping, ha). Everyday we learn something new as a family. We take it one day at a time, and today, Wolfgang is getting his second tooth and not taking more than 20 min naps... which is exhausting for all of us (Zzzz).
Cooking: I have started making dinner for the family a lot more lately and never knew that I was such a good cook! Now, I'm not one of those cooks who can just wing it, but I do know how to follow recipes pretty well. I have a few "signature" dishes that I love to cook and they always turn out great, but most of all, I enjoy trying new things in the kitchen. Usually, I like to meal plan on Sunday and then go grocery shopping for the entire week, but we just learned that our local market gets their fresh produce on Tuesday mornings, so now my meal planning schedule will just have to start then.
Reading: I don't get a lot of reading time in because I have so many other hobbies, but the two books that are on my nightstand are:
Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity and
Kara Goucher's Running for Women: From First Steps to Marathons
I am loving both of these books and was thinking of doing a book report post when I am finished reading them.
Watching: Law and Order SVU. I think we have seen every episode at least two times, but this is the one show that we can watch over and over again. This is going to change soon since some of my other favorite shows are coming back on for the Fall season.
Loving: Bright colors, fresh air, night bike rides, iced coffee, baby giggles, my Filofax, Tone It Up workouts, Project Life, "Elise Gets Crafty" podcast, fish tacos, tonic water w/ lime, and knitting.
