Christmas Outfit & Beer Bread

On Christmas morning my grandparents came over around 8am to drink mimosas and open presents. Once the presents were open, I changed my shoes and moved to the kitchen and started cooking. I spent Christmas eve baking cookies, cakes and bread. We had enough sweets to last use for a few days ;) 

My family doesn't just celebrate Christmas, we also celebrate my cousin Bria's birthday.

I had a wonderful (low-key) Christmas with family.

I am headed back to AZ on December 23rd for the holidays. I have always been the one who packs just hours before my flight, but this time around I want to put some thought into packing. I am going to be gone for a little over a week and I would love to take outfit photos everyday.

One of the reasons that I like to take outfit photos is because it gets me out of my normal jeans and a t-shirt.

Not sure if outtake is one word or two, but I am going with one ;)

Daily Outfit// Morning coffee date

 

This morning I went to meet my friends for coffee at Blue Bottle in the Ferry Building. I had planned to take a ton of photos of our coffee date, but I totally forgot about once I got there. Good thing we have a coffee date once a week. We normally meet on Wednesday morning, but there are times when we forget all about our weekly coffee date.

The only photo that I took this morning is the one of my outfit. ha!

Side story: When I do not ride my bike, I take a bus that will drop me off right across that street from my work. The only bad thing about this bus is that it only runs during commuting times. I thought the last bus was at 8:40am, but it turns out the last bus is at 8:29am.  Anyhow, I missed my bus this morning and then had to walk six blocks to another bus. I waited and waited for that bus and it finally came and then breaks down two blocks later. I was late to work and now I need to stay an hour later. What a morning!

I plan on working on the blog all day. I have my list ready and I will go down the list one at a time.

Daily outfit// There is always time to have fun

I want to document my outfit every day in August and I thought I would start a week early. I am house sitting this week and I have this amazing place to myself to take all the photos I want. Ha!

I have been feeling low key because of the hectic week I had last week. The only thing I can really get myself to do besides take photos of myself is reading. I am reading the book “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett. I picked it up at the airport because I left my other book on my desk at work and I wanted something to keep my mind busy as I was on the plane to Long beach. I wish I had the time to just sit here and read this book cover to cover, but I have things that NEED to get done. Oh well ;) This book is so GOOD! I really am in love with it and it has been on my book list for a long time.

Last night besides reading, I watched the movie “Daydream Nation” I was really looking forward to this movie. I heard about it from Frankie Magazine. It is a good movie, but dark when I say dark I mean like dark romance. Not what I needed. I had to stay up and read before I went bed because I felt so sad. I will watch this movie again when I am in a better place.

Ok. I am just rambling.

My cousin (who I live with and is moving to Spain to teach English at the end of August) borrowed one of my handbags for months now. She borrowed it a week after I bought the bag and now it is looking a little worn. I told her that she can just have it and she felt a little bad that it was so worn. She said that she would give me money or buy me a new one, but instead I went in to her room and she just gave me clothes and a pair of cute boots. I would call that a fair trade.
